SANTIE GOUWS MOUNTAIN GUIDE

Santie cares deeply about protection and restoration of the highly bio-diverse and world renowned indigenous Western Cape vegetation called 'fynbos' and is an avid contributor to the global internet-based citizen scientist database, iNaturalist. In her free time in the course of 2021 and 2022, she organized volunteer alien vegetation hacking outings to Assegaaiboskloof near Franschhoek, Western Cape, South Africa, the only natural home of the serruria florida, fondly locally known as the Blushing Bride, Bergbruidjie, or Pride of Franschhoek.
